On my first evening in Český Krumlov I met Fred who moved here a couple of years ago. I got lucky – he was one of the heavy weed smokers, so he agreed to share a joint with me and tell me some stories about local dealers. As he said from the very beginning – even though weed is prohibited in Český Krumlov – cops are overall calm and relaxed in everything related to cannabis, this made me feel better.

What if I get caught with weed in Český Krumlov?

In practice, as Fred said – if you are 18+ and carry less than 20 grams of weed or 10 grams of hash and do not smoke in public – you should not expect any arrest. As a maximum, cops will confiscate your stuff after they ensure you are not a dealer who delivers stuff.

There are some stories about occasional cops forcing people to give them a bribe after catching someone with weed, but such cases are rare. Usually cops do not touch foreign tourists who are spending their vacation or business trip in Český Krumlov and bring money to Czech Republic.

They can not imagine a good party without having a joint or two, while it’s hard to join them if you are already a “25+ old man”.

In general smoking some occasional joint after a long working week is a pleasant tradition among many people in Český Krumlov, so no one will point fingers at you seeing how you are smoking weed, but better to avoid doing this publicly just not to bring useless attention.

We were a little drunk already when Fred offered a joint of some noname sativa strain, of course I agreed. We were smoking not far from my hotel and it seems I saw other guys doing the same near another cornet 🙂So may say locals are not against weed, I saw this myself.

I liked the weed Fred shared, not the best one I’ve ever tried, but good enough. So I asked Fred to share contacts of his dealer, while he refused telling me his dealer works only with an old trusted set of clients. So I simply asked Fred if he could be my dealer during the nearest days – he agreed. I wish everyone to find his own Fred in Český Krumlov🙂

Can I smoke cannabis on the streets in Český Krumlov ?

In some places, smoking marijuana in public, on the streets, or in parks may be illegal and subject to administrative sanctions. My advice is to try to avoid smoking marijuana in public places.

What will happen if I get caught with cannabis in Český Krumlov ?

Usually, law enforcement tends to be lenient with tourists, and if they don’t suspect you of dealing, they will most likely let you go.

Can you recommend a place to buy weed in Český Krumlov ?

As I mentioned before, I was fortunate to meet Fred. If I were you, I would look for Telegram channels and avoid interacting with street dealers.

Can I find high quality weed or hash in Český Krumlov?

Yes, while quality varies from dealer to dealer.

Can I find hash in Český Krumlov?

Yes, a lot of dealers sell both weed and hash, so hash is also popular and can be found in Český Krumlov. Not all dealers have it, but it is still rather popular.

What is the price for weed and hash in Český Krumlov?

Prices vary from dealer to dealer and usually depend on stuff quality and dealer’s greediness 😂From what I saw – super high quality weed may go up to $20 – $25 per 1 gram (while the more you buy – the lower price you get), and high quality hash was around $30-$35 per 1 gram. Have not purchased low quality weed in Český Krumlov so do not know the prices, but should be lower.
